Easter…it will be here before you know it!! I love making fun little treats with my kids. It’s sort of a tradition. We start brainstorming on little goodies we can pop together for a cute little Easter treat. Sometimes it can get pretty elaborate & other times it’s just something so simple & yet adorable. The key here is that my kids & I create them together & we try to make at least one idea from each person. So in our brainstorming I thought it would be fun to create little mini “Easter basket” treats. We used some ingredients we almost always keep on hand this time of year. We came up with these Easter Pudding Cups that made everyone smile- even the hubs.

It all sort of started while I was walking through Walmart waiting to pick up prescriptions for the hubs. I thought I would find some snacks that would not only be easy for him to eat while propped up in bed but that would also make him smile too. He definitely needs smiles through the day & when I came across one of his favorite things- Snack Pack pudding cups – in SUPER size – I had to pick them up.

I knew I wanted to make them look like a mini version of the Easter baskets I make for the kids each year. I like to have the chocolate bunny in the center & all the candies piled around it in the basket. So I gathered similar candy to make it happen.

The kids helped me with the new Easy Open lids & didn’t mind licking the extra off since it tastes so yummy! The munchkin helped me with the bakers twine by holding the cups while I wrapped & tied. Like I said- creating these together is the main goal.

Once you have the cup decorated with the twine just add your candies – simple!!

The hardest part is not munching on the candy before the pudding cups are put together. It’s awfully tempting to snack through the process. But they did their job! They gave the hubs the smile I wanted & the kids had a great time helping me. They also enjoyed the process of polishing them off once I was done capturing them too. It’s a rough job when you get to snack on all the things I like to make. I don’t hear any complaints.
