I work long hours here. Between keeping the daily household stuff going & punching in 80+ hours a week in the studio AND homeschooling the kids – it’s easy to get so wrapped up in what I’m doing that I forget to break for food. It happens all the time. The hubs will come home & I’ll mention that I’m hungry for dinner. He’ll ask what I’ve eaten for the day & when I think about it – it turns out nothing but my coffee way back at 5 am. That’s not good because not only is it bad for me to go without food for that long but I really morph into some other person when it gets to that point. So I came up with this easy SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Snack Mix that I can keep on my desk to encourage me to at least nibble through the day.
I picked up SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares at Walmart to add to my mix.
I like having peanut butter because it gives me the protein that I need to stay satisfied.
I also picked up SNICKERS® Almond because it’s a long time favorite of mine. You could use either in this recipe.
These definitely help keep me on a more even keel.
When I’m out of sorts I don’t work well & I definitely get more done when I’m feeling great.

For those times when I’m stuck in the waiting room of say the doctors office – for sometimes nearly 2 hours beyond our appointment time… I keep a couple single bars in my purse. It really helps when we are out & need to eat but can’t get to a place to pick something up. I’m definitely the hero of the day when I can pull one of these out & bye bye hunger.
I picked up those single wrapped SNICKERS® Peanut Butter & SNICKERS® Almond in the checkout line.
SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Snack Mix
- 1 bag SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares - each unwrapped
- 4 cups salted popcorn - popped
- 2 cups peanut butter filled pretzels
- Combine all ingredients in large bowl & toss to mix
- Keep in an airtight container & portion out as desired
