It’s no secret that I’m nuts for my coffee. I love starting my day with it & if given the opportunity- I drink it throughout the day as well. When I was given the opportunity to host a Gevalia Coffee Party- I jumped at the chance. I decided that since our house is small & most of the people I would be inviting were those that work for the hubs at the station- I decided that we would just have the party there & bring some Yummy Bar Recipes!. It’s our second home- the hubs is actually there more than he is here – so it was quite fitting to host it there & share in the fellowship with the boys.
It was great- we brought my favorite French Roast Gevalia brew- the whole firehouse smelled like coffee.
I bought some goodies & then I also baked some to add to the spread.
The boys were loving it all. It was really great to spend time with the hubs at work & get to know the boys a bit more.
I feel that if they are trusting their lives to my hubs- I should probably know them pretty well & they should be comfortable with me too.
They are all young guys with new families. Oh I remember those days- good times. It was great to have some time with them & there are always plenty of laughs at the firehouse. They are always so good to me- whenever we are there they are so accommodating & certainly keep me entertained while I wait for the hubs & all his things he has going on. They could easily just let me sit in a corner & wait but they are so good about engaging in great conversation & they are so warm & friendly. I appreciate it so much.
They are a great group of guys. Happy to have them.
One of the treats I made to take to them (you probably saw one of them holding these) was these Patriotic Cookie Dough Brownie Bars.
I ever so slightly adapted the recipe from the amazingly talented Lizzy at Your Cup of Cake. Head on over & grab the recipe.
They were decadent & OH.SO.GOOD!!!!!
