The family just loves dessert dips like this. When we all gather we tend to just graze. I find that it is so much better than preparing a huge meal.
Here are some commonly asked questions
What is the best way to store leftover pumpkin dip?
If you place any unused portion into an airtight container and keep it refrigerated, it should keep for up to 4 days. Just give it a little stir to whip it up again before reserving.
Can this recipe be doubled?
Absolutely this recipe can be doubled. If you are hosting a larger group, doubling is recommended.
HOW DO YOU MAKE Pumpkin Dessert Dip?
- Combine cream cheese, confectioners sugar, marshmallow creme, pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice in a mixer bowl & beat with the whip attachment on medium/high until well combined.
- Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with your favorite spiced cookies, pretzels or biscotti.
Why do I need pumpkin puree instead of pie filling?
This is really important when making pumpkin recipes. Pay close attention to the recipe & see if it calls for one or the other.
This recipe calls for pumpkin puree, which is just pumpkin that is cooked & pureed. Pumpkin pie filling is the puree mixed with sweeteners & spices – which isn’t what is usually called for when it comes to most recipes that use pumpkin.
They are not usually interchangeable because it will change the flavor & possibly the consistency of the recipe you are making.
Can I use a sugar substitute?
I have not personally tried it, so I can’t say how that would turn out. But if you would like to try it, I suggest a product that offers a 1:1 swap. Please let me know how it turns out.
