Garlic Parmesan Risotto
Ready for a delicious warm winter dinner idea? Are you a risotto lover? This recipe is for you! I know when it’s chilly out I always crave something filling, hot & definitely cheesy. I also don’t want to be in the kitchen all day. Something about the cold makes me just want to curl up & get cozy. Not work away at the stove. So I came up with this delicious garlic parmesan (my favorite flavor combo) risotto recipe that cooks in the slow cooker in just a couple hours. It’s incredibly easy. Let me show you!
It’s so simple to make this delicious risotto recipe. Just measure out your Arborio into your slow cooker. Then add in your other dry ingredients- except the cheese & mix. Then add in your wet ingredients, stir, cover & let cook for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Add in the cheese at the end & it’s ready to enjoy.

Garlic Parmesan Risotto
- 1-1/4 cup uncooked Village Harvest Arborio rice must be Arborio rice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Combine Arborio & seasonings in your slow cooker.
- Add in olive oil, wine & broth - stir.
- Cover & cook on high 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until most of the moisture is absorbed.
- Add in cheese & stir.
- Sprinkle with some chives when serving if desired.
