Instant Pot Sweet & Spicy Pork Tenderloin is a quick & easy pressure cooker pork recipe that is ready to eat with just 12 minutes of cook time. So good!
My friends, it is so secret that I love a super quick & easy dinner. I don’t like a lot of complicated steps or things that take a lot of time.
You see, I lack patience. I also seem to wait until the last minute when it comes to making dinner. So recipes like this Instant Pot Sweet & Spicy Pork Tenderloin that I can toss in the pressure cooker & go do something else while it cooks are like my #1 favorite thing to make for dinner.
It seems I’m always running from this thing to that thing. I swear it is all I can do to take the 10 minutes to toss all the ingredients into the Instant Pot before I need to be doing something else. It is just how life is these days.
I don’t want to have to babysit whatever it is that I’m making & I certainly don’t want to have to wait numerous hours for dinner to be done. As I said, I usually wait until the last minute to think of dinner. So being able to make a super delicious meal in under 30 minutes- even if the meat is still frozen (because I forgot to thaw anything) is a WIN for me.

I really love this because I can pair it with a side of rice – also super easy to make in the rice cooker, where I can dump & go. But you can also make ready rice if that is what you have on hand.
We like to pair it with a side of veggies or a salad too. Makes for a really great dinner & I don’t have to resort to takeout.
If you happen to have leftovers, you can add a couple of slices of this to a sandwich. It is really filling & will keep you going all day long.

Here are some commonly asked questions
Can I add change the hot sauce?
Yes- of course. If you have another sauce that you prefer, or if you like to adjust the heat of this recipe, feel free to add or subtract things as needed to suit your preference.
What is the best way to store extra pork tenderloin?
After serving, place leftover pieces of pork in an airtight container. Be sure to label with the date before refrigerating. This recipe should keep for up to 2 days if not left out for too long. As with most things, it is important to get food into the refrigerator within 1 hour after serving to prevent bacteria growth.
Can this recipe be made from frozen pork tenderloin?
Yes, you can make this using a frozen pork tenderloin. You will need to adjust your cooking time to about 18 minutes instead of the 12 minutes needed for a fresh or thawed tenderloin.

How many can this serve?
This will depend greatly on portion sizes & the appetites of your crowd. But in general, we usually make 2 small tenderloins in this recipe to feed our family of 5. We have 3 young adult children, so we usually go through about 1-1/2 tenderloins for dinner & then have that other half to slice up for lunch the next day.
Can this recipe be doubled?
You can make this recipe with either 1 or 2 tenderloins. I don’t recommend adding any more to the pot or the cooking time will change quite a bit as the meat will be packed in too closely together. So overall, yes because the recipe is calling for 1 tenderloin & you can essentially make 2 – even though the recipe doesn’t change whether you are making 1 or 2.

Can I make this recipe in the oven?
Yes, this recipe can be baked if you don’t have a pressure cooker. Place the ingredients in a shallow baking dish & bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the thermometer reaches 145 degrees. Can this be made in the slow cooker?
Yes, absolutely. If you would like to toss all these ingredients into the slow cooker, you can do that too. Just set on high for about 4 hours. If you are making it from a frozen tenderloin, I would cook for at least 5-5.5 hours or until the internal temp is at least 145 degrees.
