Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • ¼ cup water optional - but recommended for lean beef such as 93 or 95% - you can add up to ½ cup
  • 2 tbsp minced onions - dried or fresh
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Add the beef, water, minced onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the slow cooker. Work the ingredients together so that the seasonings are mixed throughout and the beef is evenly spread out in the bottom of the cooker.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours, or low for 4-6 hours. Be sure to stir occasionally - l like to stir mine every 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Drain if necessary before serving.

Notes

You can cook up to 5 pounds at a time, but you will need to adjust the cooking time and the frequency with which you stir.
