This Triple Chocolate Banana Bread is a chocolate lovers dream. Not only is it easy to make but you get 3 mini loaves out of this batter! Such a great way to use up those overripe bananas.

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup butter room temperature (1 stick)
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs - room temperature
  • 4 small bananas - mashed
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray 3 mini loaf pans with bakers joy or grease well & set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda & baking powder.
  • In the mixer bowl, combine butter & sugars & beat until fluffy.
  • Slowly stir in eggs & bananas.
  • Add dry mixture & stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Divide evenly between the prepared pans.
  • Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick test is clean.
  • Top with chocolate syrup or hot fudge if serving for dessert instead of breakfast.
