Servings 12 servings
- 4 cans Great Northern Beans drained & rinsed (15 ounces each)
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup molasses
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup bourbon or whiskey
- 4 tbsp dried minced onion flakes
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp granulated garlic
- salt & pepper to taste
- 2 pounds bacon cooked & crumbled
Combine all the ingredients except the bacon in slow cooker & stir.
Cover & cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 3-5 hours. Stir every 30-60 minutes.
About 20 minutes before serving add the cooked bacon crumbles.
NOTE - if they start getting a little dry or pasty you can add a little more water to thin it out. But this is a sign that they have cooked for too long & you want to serve soon.
