Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion diced - small
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 30 ounces baked beans TWO 15-ounce cans
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat, until the beef is browned and the onions are tender. Drain any excess fat.
  • Combine the cooked ground beef mixture, baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading into an even layer.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the beans are bubbling and the top is slightly caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
