Air Fryer Maple Glazed Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 can jumbo flaky refrigerator biscuits
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup

Instructions

  • Remove canned biscuits from tube and cut out the center of each biscuit with a small round cookie cutter.
  • Place 4 donuts at a time in the fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
  • Repeat with remaining dough or save in an airtight container for later.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and milk.
  • Heat over medium until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved, approximately, 4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in confectioners’ sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
  • Once donuts are cooked and slightly cooled, dip in maple glaze.
  • Place on a wire rack while the glaze sets.

Notes

**Standard donut glaze - whisk together ½ cup confectioners’ sugar with 1 tablespoon milk and ½ teaspoon vanilla.
**Chocolate glaze - In a medium saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter & 1/4 cup milk over medium-high heat, stirring until smooth. Turn the heat to low & add 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, whisking until melted. Turn off the heat & add 2 tsp vanilla extract & 1-1/2 tbsp corn syrup, whisking until smooth. Slowly stir in 2 cups confectioners sugar & whisk until smooth.
