Preheat the smoker to 180 degrees. If you have a super-smoke setting, you can turn that on too.
Place the salt on a rimmed baking sheet or disposable baking pan. Spread it out into a thin, even layer.
Place the salt on the smoker and close the lid.
Smoke for at least 3-4 hours - be sure to stir the salt every 30 minutes.
Remove from the heat and allow it to come to room temperature before transferring to jars for storage.
