Fourth of July Cookie Dough Brownies

Patriotic Cookie Dough Brownie Bars are thick and fudgy brownies topped with edible cookie dough & patriotic M&M’s for a super delicious holiday treat.

Ingredients

Brownies: – 6 ounces dark chocolate – ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips – ½ cup butter – ¾ tsp instant coffee granules – ½ cup brown sugar – ½ cup granulated sugar – 2 eggs – 1 egg yolk – 10 tbsp all-purpose flour – 1 tbsp cocoa powder – ½ tsp table salt – 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Ingredients

Cookie Dough: – ¾ cup butter- softened – ¼ cup granulated sugar – ¼ cup brown sugar- packed – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 cup all-purpose flour – ½ tsp table salt – ½ cup Patriotic M&M’s

Preheat the oven to 350 and line a 8×8 pan with parchment paper.

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark and semi-sweet chocolate, the butter, and the coffee granules.

Cover loosely & microwave 30 seconds, stir & microwave another 15 seconds more to melt the butter & chocolate.

Combine brownie ingredients and pour into a prepared pan. Bake 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick test is clean.

Combine the cookie dough ingredients while the brownies bake. When the brownies are done. stick them in the fridge to flash cool them.

Spread over the top of the cooled brownies in an even layer and sprinkle with remaining M&M’s and press them into the top. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
