Ingredients

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic
  • ½ tbsp minced onions
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp dried basil

Instructions

  • Combine the olive oil, granulated garlic, and minced onions in a saucepan and heat over medium for about 2 minutes - stirring frequently.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and then add the diced tomatoes, vinegar, salt, dried oregano, and dried basil.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Simmer for about 30 minutes (20 minutes on a high-output stove) until the volume has reduced and the sauce has thickened.
  • Use the sauce immediately or store it in a jar with a tight lid in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 6 months.
