Grilled Peaches

Grilled Peaches are the perfect summer dessert! Try this recipe for grilled peaches topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

Equipment

  • 1 grill

Ingredients

  • 6 peaches firm but ripe
  • cooking oil coconut, grapeseed, walnut or other mild flavored oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Serving

  • ice cream
  • caramel sauce optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  • Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  • Brush the peaches on the cut side with the oil.
  • Brush the grill with the oil as well.
  • Place the peaches on the grill -cut side down- and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  • While the peaches are cooking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Stir in the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Remove the peaches from grill and place them on a baking sheet with a rim.
  • Spoon the butter mixture over the peaches slowly so it soaks in.
  • Serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.
  • Store the leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
