Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter softened (2 sticks)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 cup red and blue M&Ms
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer, cream butter and both granulated and brown until fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  • Fold in the flour, just until combined.
  • Gently fold in the rice krispie cereal, M&Ms, white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  • Using a 1 ½ tablespoon cookie scoop place the dough onto your cookie sheet.
  • Top each one with any leftover chocolate chips, M&Ms and sprinkles if desired.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Cool slightly before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
