Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings medium size, raw (900 g) NOT FROZEN - THAW FIRST
  • 1 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Sea salt - to taste

Instructions

  • Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pat them dry with a paper towel to soak up any moisture that may be on them.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360 F | 180 C.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with a light mist of cooking oil. (not non-stick cooking spray - see notes)
  • Sprinkle the wings with cornstarch, sea salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder.
  • Toss and make sure all wings are coated.
  • Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. I cooked in 3 batches.
  • Spray the coated wings with oil.
  • Cook for 12 minutes. Toss, spray that side with oil and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to 400 F | 200 C and air fry until crispy. About 4 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dip.

Notes

Please do not use a non-stick cooking spray in your air fryer basket. It will leave a film that cooks on and can't be easily removed. Over time this will build up and cause the air fryer to smoke while it is cooking. It is best to use either a light spritz of cooking oil or a perforated parchment sheet made for air fryers.
