Ingredients

  • cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter room temperature
  • ¼ cup brown sugar - packed
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder not Dutch-processed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp red food color I prefer gel
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • cup mini chocolate chips
  • 8-10 double-stuffed Oreo cookies - crushed
  • 2 tbsp white jimmies not non periels

Instructions

  • Combine sugar, butter, brown sugar, milk, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, and food color in a large mixer bowl. Beat together until well combined.
  • Add in the flour, mixing until just incorporated. Don't over-mix as it will change the texture of the cookie dough.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips, crushed cookies, and jimmies until mixed throughout.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour prior to serving.

Notes

**If you are concerned about killing bacteria in the flour, you can either pour the flour onto a baking sheet & bake in a 350-degree oven for 5 minutes or place it on a microwave-safe plate & microwave for at least 1-2 minutes or until it reaches 160 degrees before adding to your dough mixture.
