Notes

I like to rim my glass with a homemade margarita mix.
Combine ¼ cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon of lime zest. Before making your drink, dip the rim of the glass in water or lime juice followed by margarita mix. Continue as instructed.
This recipe is also delicious with vodka if you don’t have any tequila on hand.
If you don’t have Triple Sec, you can substitute freshly squeezed orange juice.
I recommend using an inexpensive Prosecco, like La Marca, in this recipe. Try to avoid any bubbly that would be too sweet (Dulce) or too dry (Extra Brut).
I do not recommend making these in advance as the champagne will start to flatten immediately once opened.
