This Strawberry Daiquiri recipe is the perfect frozen cocktail for the warmer weather. Great when served at Taco Tuesday or during your next backyard bbq.
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup ice
- 3/4 cup lime juice
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup rum light
- 4 ounces whipped topping- *opt
- fresh strawberries, lime or lemon wheel for garnish
Place strawberries, ice, lime juice, sugar & rum in the blender & secure the lid.
Blend on high speed for 6-8 minutes or until mixture reaches a slushie consistency.
Stop halfway through & scrape down the sides of the blender to make sure you are getting all of the ingredients smooth.
Blend in the optional whipped topping for 60 seconds if desired.
Pour into serving glasses & top with fresh strawberry, lime or lemon wheel for garnish.
**Note: add a splash of water or more rum (if you like it strong) to thin the consistency to your liking.
**To make this virgin - replace the rum with water or you can use lemon-lime soda instead.
