Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake is a simple to make breakfast recipe. Just prepare the night before & refrigerate. Bake when you are ready for breakfast the next morning. Easy & delicious.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter melted (1 stick)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 loaf thick sliced bread
  • 4 eggs
  • cup 2% milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Topping:

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. table salt
  • ½ cup cold butter cubed

Icing:

  • 4 oz cream cheese room temp
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2-4 tbsp milk

Instructions

Topping

  • Mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • Cut the butter into the mixture until crumbly - place in a zip-top bag & refrigerate

French Toast

  • Combine melted butter & brown sugar & mix well.
  • Pour mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
  • Add a layer of bread.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk & vanilla.
  • Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread.
  • Add another layer of bread.
  • Spread a thin layer of butter over bread.
  • Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top
  • Refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours before baking.
  • When ready to bake, sprinkle with your topping crumbles & bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Frosting

  • Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl
  • Drizzle over the top of the french toast after making
