Ingredients
½cupbuttermelted (1 stick)
1cuppacked brown sugar
1loafthick sliced bread
4eggs
1½cup2% milk
1tspvanilla
Topping:
½cupall-purpose flour
½cuppacked brown sugar
1tsp.cinnamon
¼tsp.table salt
½cupcold buttercubed
Icing:
4ozcream cheeseroom temp
1tsppure vanilla extract
3cupsconfectioners sugar
2-4tbspmilk
Instructions
Topping
Mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl.
Cut the butter into the mixture until crumbly - place in a zip-top bag & refrigerate
French Toast
Combine melted butter & brown sugar & mix well.
Pour mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
Add a layer of bread.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk & vanilla.
Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread.
Add another layer of bread.
Spread a thin layer of butter over bread.
Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top
Refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours before baking.
When ready to bake, sprinkle with your topping crumbles & bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
Frosting
Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl
