Holiday Cookies with Nutella® hazelnut spread are the perfect Christmas treat. Chocolate cookies topped with Nutella & sprinkled with pistachios are so good!

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cups two & one-half sticks butter - soft/room temperature
  • 2 large eggs - room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Nutella® hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup shelled & crushed pistachios

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mat - set aside
  • In the mixer bowl, beat butter & sugars together until light & fluffy
  • Mix in eggs one at a time just until combined
  • Beat in vanilla
  • Slowly beat in dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt)
  • Use a medium cookie scoop & drop dough onto prepared baking trays
  • Bake 8-10 minutes
  • Allow cookies to cool 5 minutes on baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack
  • Once cooled, spread Nutella® on top of each cookie & sprinkle with pistachios
