Brown Sugar Pineapple Sundae

Brown Sugar Pineapple Sundae - tart & tangy pineapple cooked with brown sugar & butter to caramelized & topped on ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter 1/4 cup
  • 2 cups fresh cut pineapple
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  • Combine butter, brown sugar & pineapple in medium saucepan
  • Cook over medium heat until butter is melted & sugar has dissolved
  • Turn heat down & simmer several minutes
  • Remove from heat & stir in lime juice
  • While still quite warm, spoon pineapple & sauce over several scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • Enjoy!
