Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 pounds beef stew meat 2 to 3 pounds
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup 1-10.5 ounce can Just what’s in the can, don’t add water.
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese cubed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 cups egg noodles cooked – for serving

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the beef tips, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Brown the beef on all sides.
  • Transfer the beef and onion mixture to the slow cooker.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup and the onion soup on top of the beef and onions.
  • Top with the mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
  • Stir in the cream cheese until melted.
  • Then, add the sour cream and stir until fully incorporated.
  • Serve the beef and gravy mixture over the cooked egg noodles or mix the cooked noodles into the slow cooker.
  • Garnish with parsley and/or black pepper, if desired.
