Ingredients

  • 5 cups frozen blueberries
  • 15.25 ounces vanilla cake mix
  • ½ cup butter 1 stick

Instructions

  • Prepare the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or cooking oil.
  • Pour the blueberries into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Top the blueberries evenly with the cake mix.
  • Cut the butter into 1 tablespoon-sized squares and distribute them evenly over the top of the cake mix. Do not mix!
  • Put the lid on the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
  • Serve alone or topped with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

This cobbler thickens as it rests.
Fresh blueberries can also be used.
The final result for the cobbler will be the baked and bubbling berries on the bottom and the crusty cake mix layer on top. If you were to mix it up prior to baking, it would end up baking more like a cake, rather than a cobbler. It won’t be like a pie – because we aren’t adding a crust on the bottom – just berries and the topping.
