Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese – room temperature
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese or Colby Jack
  • ¼ cup real crumbled bacon or freshly cooked bacon- chopped
  • 2 tbsp fried onions
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp parsley or minced chives
  • 2 tsp ranch seasoning just the dry powder
  • ¼ tsp granulated garlic not garlic salt
  • pinch of table salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds

Instructions

  • Combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, fried onions, milk, parsley, ranch seasoning, granulated garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well until completely combined.
  • Turn out onto a piece of parchment or plastic wrap.
  • You can either use wet hands or fold over the parchment or plastic wrap over the cheese mixture to keep it from sticking to your hands too much. Start to shape it into a log, rolling and forming until it is mostly uniform in shape.
  • Combine the chopped walnuts and sunflower seeds in a small bowl and then sprinkle the mixture onto the work surface next to the cheese log - then roll the log into the mixture. Continue this process until the entire log is coated. To make clean up easier - you can do this on top of the plastic wrap or parchment paper as well.
  • Once coated - wrap tightly with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • To serve, place on a small platter and surround it with the crackers, pretzels and veggies that you plan on serving with the spread.
