Ingredients
2pkgs Beef Lil' Smokies24 ounces each
2cupsof water
40ouncesBBQ sauce - we like Sweet Baby Rays
2ouncesmustard
1-ouncebourbon
2tbspminced onions
1tbspminced garlic
1tbspPappy's seasoning
1tsppepper
4dasheshot sauce - flavor of choice
1tspcornstarch
splash of water
Instructions
Combine add the smokies and water to the bottom of the pot.
Top with bbq sauce, mustard, bourbon, minced onions, minced garlic, Pappy's, pepper, and hot sauce - in that order and do not stir.
Cover and set manual pressure for 3 minutes.
Once done, do a quick release. Uncover and stir.
Combine the cornstarch and water in a small bowl and whisk until combined and you have a thin milky liquid - add more water as needed.
Add the cornstarch slurry to the pot and stir well. It will thicken as it sits.
Serve warm.
Notes
Make these in the air fryer - Place the smokies in the air fryer in a single layer and sprinkle with desired seasonings. Brush with desired sauce and then sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook at 340 degrees for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.**for extra WOW - wrap with a partial strip of bacon before cooking.
