Spring Funfetti® Cake

Spring celebrations are fun & easy with this Spring Funfetti® Cake. You can create fun family moments with this cake recipe as one of your Easter desserts. Using frosting just in-between layers for that "naked cake" look that is SO popular right now. It's gives the perfect amount of cake to frosting ratio & it's absolutely delicious! I'm loving it for all our holiday & spring birthday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes Pillsbury™ Spring Funfetti® Cake Mix + additional ingredients per box instructions
  • 3 cans Pillsbury™ Funfetti® vanilla frosting
  • 1 can Pillsbury™ Spring Funfetti® frosting
  • 4-5 flower lollipops
  • 3-4 long wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Mix, prepare & bake both cake mixes for 8" round pans - should make 4 layers total (2 layers per box)
  2. Cool completely on wire rack
  3. One cool slice the dome off each layer & shave off the outer crust of each cake
  4. Place bottom layer on cake plate & top with 3/4 of a can of vanilla frosting spreading out to overhang a little
  5. Add second layer & repeat frosting & continue with additional layers
  6. Use the Pillsbury™ Spring Funfetti® frosting on your top layer & then add a little bit of vanilla into the center for color contrast.
  7. Push long skewers through all layers of the cake in several place to help keep the layers from shifting & trim any that pokes out beyond the cake - cover with frosting
  8. Add flower lollipops & sprinkles from frosting lid for decoration
  9. Keep refrigerated until serving
