Bananas Foster French Toast is thick & eggy french toast smothered in bananas cooked in a dark rum, banana liqueur & a thick caramel sauce. It's divine!

Ingredients

French Toast

  • 8 Large Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup milk
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Loaf Texas Style Toast or french bread cut thick we used Wonder Bread

Bananas Foster

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup banana liqueur
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 2 bananas - sliced

Instructions

French Toast

  • Whisk eggs, milk, brown sugar & cinnamon together in shallow dish.
  • Dredge each piece of bread in mixture & transfer to griddle heated to 350 degrees
  • Cook until both sides are golden brown
  • Top with butter while warm.

Bananas Foster

  • In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Stir in brown sugar, heavy cream, rum & banana liqueur.
  • When mixture begins to bubble, place bananas in pan.
  • Cook until bananas are hot, 2-3 minutes.
