Eggnog French Toast

If you love eggnog, then this Eggnog French Toast is sure to be a favorite breakfast for holiday mornings. The addition of rum extract gives it great flavor while keeping it "kid-friendly" too.

Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup eggnog we used low fat
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp rum or brandy extract
  • 1 loaf Texas Toast Not the kind seasoned for garlic bread - we used Wonder Bread
  • Topping of choice syrup, fruit, butter or confectioners sugar to top as desired

Instructions

  • Whisk eggs, eggnog, brown sugar, cinnamon & rum extract together in a shallow dish.
  • Dredge each piece of Texas Toast in mixture & transfer to griddle heated to 350 degrees.
  • Cook until both sides are golden brown.
  • Top with butter, syrup & optional confectioners sugar while warm & serve.
