Equipment

  • Loaf Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Large cookie scooper

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Cinnamon Swirl

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Glaze

  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare a loaf pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the flour, cake flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt, and in a large mixing bowl. Whisk together until combined.
  • Add the egg, milk, sour cream, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk together just until a smooth batter forms. Set aside.
  • Next, make the cinnamon swirl by combining the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl. Whisk with a fork until mixed well.
  • Then add the melted butter and mix until a chunky mixture has formed.
  • Pour half of the batter for the bread into the cinnamon mixture and whisk together.
  • Alternate adding large scoops of the plain batter and cinnamon batter into the loaf pan.
  • Drag a knife back and forth through the batter to create a swirl pattern - both vertically and horizontally.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Once done, allow it to cool completely.
  • While the loaf cools, make the glaze.
  • Combine the confectioner’s sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Pour the glaze over the top of the baked bread, letting it drip over the sides.
  • Cut and serve!
