Ingredients
6avocadosmedium - ripened until soft
1limejuiced
½teaspoongarlic powdernot garlic salt
½teaspoonsalt
1Roma tomato - diced
⅓cuppurple onion - diced
¼cupfresh cilantro- chopped
Instructions
Cut the avocados in half and then scoop the flesh into a medium mixing bowl.
Use a fork, pastry blender, or potato masher to mash the avocado until it’s to the consistency you like (very smooth or chunky).
Mix in the juice of 1 lime, garlic powder, and salt.
Fold in the diced tomato, diced purple onion, and chopped fresh cilantro - mixing just until blended.
Taste test the guacamole and add more salt and garlic powder if desired.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
I use garlic powder because that is how I was taught by my aunt growing up. But you can use 2-3 cloves of fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder.Lemon can be used instead of lime.
