Ingredients

  • 1 baguette sliced
  • ½ pound sliced meat like prosciutto, salami or ham
  • ½ pound sliced cheese like provolone
  • 1 round brie cheese
  • 1 small round baby bel cheese
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • ½ pound asparagus blanched
  • 1 cup grapes washed (red and/or green)
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • ½ cup olives green and/or black
  • 1 cup dried apricots
  • 6 deviled eggs
  • ¼ cup whole grain mustard and/or honey
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Roses

  • Slice the meats and/or cheeses in half.
  • Lay the slices flat and slightly overlap them. Roll the sheet tightly from one end to create a central bud.
  • Then, arrange additional slices around the bud, gradually forming layers to resemble rose petals. Secure the layers with toothpicks as needed.
  • Finally, shape and fluff the petals to achieve a more realistic rose appearance.

Assemble

  • Arrange the baguette slices in a cross shape on a large serving board.
  • Under the cross, place the round of brie.
  • Cut the yellow bell pepper to resemble the opening of a tomb and rays of light. Place the small round of babybel to resemble the stone rolled away from the tomb opening.
  • Arrange the remaining ingredients around the cross and tomb. Fill any remaining gaps with rosemary sprigs.
  • Place small bowls of whole-grain mustard or honey strategically near the board for dipping.
