Ingredients

  • 3 cups salted peanuts cocktail-style
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the peanuts in a medium mixing bowl with the oil - toss to coat.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add a tablespoon of the seasoning mix to the oil-coated peanuts. Stir until all the peanuts are evenly coated.
  • Spread the coated peanuts on the prepared pan and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and toss the peanuts with the remaining seasoning mix.
  • You can eat them right away or leave them in an airtight container overnight for the best flavor results.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot for up to 2 months. Do not freeze.
If you like a bit of sweetness, add a teaspoon or more of sugar to the spice mix.
If you like more of one spice flavor than the other, simply adjust accordingly to meet your taste preferences.
I encourage you to allow these to sit overnight as the flavor only gets better.
You can use other oils, however, it’s important to note that changing oils can change the flavor outcome.
