16ouncesoyster crackers
⅔cupvegetable oil
2pktranch dressing mix
2teaspoonsgarlic powder
Instructions
Transfer the oyster crackers into a gallon-size zip-top bag.
Combine the ranch dressing mix and garlic powder in a small bowl, then add it to the bag of crackers along with the vegetable oil. Close the bag and shake to coat the crackers in the seasoning.
Set the bag aside to rest for 30 minutes so the crackers can soak in the oil and seasonings.
Preheat the oven to 250F.
Spread the seasoned crackers out on 2 baking sheets in an even layer. It is important to use two sheets to avoid overcrowding of the crackers.
Bake at 250F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the crackers to cool completely to room temperature before serving.
Notes
To make the crackers spicy, add 1-2 tablespoons of crushed red peppers or you can use 1-2 tsp of chili powder or cayenne pepper depending on how much spice you like.Store any leftover crackers in an airtight food storage container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
