Ingredients

  • 16 ounces oyster crackers
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 2 pkt ranch dressing mix
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  • Transfer the oyster crackers into a gallon-size zip-top bag.
  • Combine the ranch dressing mix and garlic powder in a small bowl, then add it to the bag of crackers along with the vegetable oil. Close the bag and shake to coat the crackers in the seasoning.
  • Set the bag aside to rest for 30 minutes so the crackers can soak in the oil and seasonings.
  • Preheat the oven to 250F.
  • Spread the seasoned crackers out on 2 baking sheets in an even layer. It is important to use two sheets to avoid overcrowding of the crackers.
  • Bake at 250F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow the crackers to cool completely to room temperature before serving.

Notes

To make the crackers spicy, add 1-2 tablespoons of crushed red peppers or you can use 1-2 tsp of chili powder or cayenne pepper depending on how much spice you like.
Store any leftover crackers in an airtight food storage container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
