Ingredients
1poundground beef
1poundground pork
1cupparmesan cheese - grated
1cupbreadcrumbs
6clovesgarlicminced
2large eggs
1teaspoonItalian seasoningdried
½teaspoonred pepper flakesor to taste
Instructions
Line the air fryer basket with an air fryer parchment sheet OR spritz lightly with cooking oil. Don’t use cooking spray as it leaves a film on the basket.
Work all of the ingredients together using clean, dry hands in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Try not to compact the mixture too much-- you don’t want dense meatballs.
Shape into 1” spheres and then cook in the air fryer at 400F for 14 minutes, or until the meatballs reach 145F with an instant-read thermometer.
Enjoy with pasta or as an appetizer.
Notes
To store, place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.Servings: 4 serving entrees, 8 serving appetizer.
I use a two-tablespoon cookie scoop to make sure the meatballs are all the same size.
You can substitute the pork for Italian sausage for even more flavor.
Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. You can always keep the meatballs warm in a 250F oven while you make the other batches.
