Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese - grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning dried
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes or to taste

Instructions

  • Line the air fryer basket with an air fryer parchment sheet OR spritz lightly with cooking oil. Don’t use cooking spray as it leaves a film on the basket.
  • Work all of the ingredients together using clean, dry hands in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Try not to compact the mixture too much-- you don’t want dense meatballs.
  • Shape into 1” spheres and then cook in the air fryer at 400F for 14 minutes, or until the meatballs reach 145F with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Enjoy with pasta or as an appetizer.

Notes

To store, place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Servings: 4 serving entrees, 8 serving appetizer.
  • I use a two-tablespoon cookie scoop to make sure the meatballs are all the same size.
  • You can substitute the pork for Italian sausage for even more flavor.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. You can always keep the meatballs warm in a 250F oven while you make the other batches.
