Equipment

  • 12 cocktail skewers

Ingredients

  • 12 strawberries large
  • 48 mini marshmallows
  • 12 pretzel sticks
  • 10 ounces milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 3 ounces white chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

Prep

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Rinse the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Then, press a cocktail skewer vertically into the top of each strawberry, but do not go all the way through.
  • Break each pretzel stick in half. Add 2 mini marshmallows to each broken end of the pretzel stick.
  • Microwave the chocolate melting wafers in a deep bowl for 30 seconds on defrost. Remove from the microwave and stir until completely melted. If needed, return to the microwave for 15 additional seconds to melt the remaining chocolate wafers.

Assemble

  • To assemble the turkey, dip one side of a marshmallow pretzel stick in the chocolate and attach it to the side of a strawberry (this will be the turkey's wing). Hold the marshmallow stick against the strawberry for 10-15 seconds, then repeat on the other side of the strawberry with another marshmallow pretzel stick and chocolate. Place the assembled strawberries on the baking sheet.
  • Put the strawberries in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
  • Reheat the chocolate for 15 seconds on the defrost setting if needed. Then, dip each strawberry into the chocolate until the chocolate reaches the stem. Remove the strawberry from the chocolate and gently jiggle to drip the excess chocolate off. Place back on the baking sheet and repeat the process with all 12 strawberries.
  • Allow the strawberries to harden in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a small bowl. Remove the strawberries from the refrigerator, then dip the very tip of each pretzel in the white chocolate.
  • Return the strawberries to the refrigerator for 5 additional minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Enjoy the chocolate-covered strawberries the same day to get the freshest taste! However, if you need to store them, place leftovers in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
I recommend using cocktail skewers since they are typically longer and stronger than a toothpick. This will ensure your strawberry does not fall off while dipping into the chocolate. If you only have toothpicks, use two per strawberry for a stronger hold.
Use a deep bowl or large-rimmed cup for the chocolate wafers so that you can dip the entire turkey strawberry in. If you only have shallow bowls, use a spoon to spoon the chocolate all the way up to the stem.
