Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces cake mix or 1 box - - Devil’s Food or whatever flavor you choose
  • 2 cups whipped topping thawed - such as cool whip
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup confectioner’s sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, whipped topping, and the egg.
  • Work the ingredients together with a large, firm spatula until it forms a cookie dough consistency.
  • Take a medium cookie scoop and portion out the dough, rolling each in the confectioner’s sugar before placing it on the baking sheet. Be sure to space them about 1-2” apart. They don’t spread too much, but you don’t want them too close for airflow.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for several minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
