Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese – room temperature
  • ½ cup butter – room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 15.24 ounces white cake mix 1 box
  • food coloring – in purple, orange, and green
  • candy eyeballs

Instructions

  • Combine the cream cheese, butter, and egg in a large mixer bowl. Beat together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the cake mix and stir slowly until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into three bowls.
  • Add the food coloring to each bowl and mix until the color is uniform throughout.
  • Cover and chill each color of dough for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Roll 2-3 tablespoon-sized portions into balls.
  • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Add the candy eyes to each of the cookies immediately after removing them from the oven before they cool – pressing them in just deep enough so they don’t fall out.
