Ingredients

  • cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup butter melted
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • cups hot water

Instructions

  • In a medium size bowl combine, ¾ cup sugar, flour, ¼ cup cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, and mix together.
  • Add the milk, butter, and vanilla and mix.
  • Spread batter in a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  • In a small bowl combine, ½ cup sugar, brown sugar, and ¼ cup cocoa powder and mix.
  • Sprinkle dry mix all over the top of the batter.
  • Pour hot water all over the top of the batter evenly. Do not stir.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and scoop out and add ice cream with it and enjoy!

Notes

  • Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Vanilla ice cream goes wonderful with this.
  • Chocolate syrup is yummy on top also!
