Churro Bars are a delightful twist on traditional churros! A delicious cinnamon treat that is the perfect dessert for cinnamon lovers out there!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together brown sugar and the butter until well incorporated.
  • Add egg to sugar mixture and mix until well incorporated.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt to the sugar mixture and mix until combined.
  • Press the dough into an even layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl whisk together sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar topping on top of the bars.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until no longer gooey in the middle.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
