- 6 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
- 1 tablespoon minced onion dried
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon table salt OR to taste
- 1 ½ cups Coca-Cola soda
- 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce divided
Prepare a slow cooker crock with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of the slow cooker crock.
Sprinkle the chicken with the minced onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
Pour the soda around the chicken.
Spread 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the chicken.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low 6 to 7 hours.
Drain the slow cooker and brush the chicken with the remaining barbecue sauce.
Or, shred the chicken and stir in the remaining barbecue sauce.
Serve the chicken whole or shredded on hamburger buns.
