Easy Linzer Cookies for



Indulge in the sweet taste of these Linzer cookies this holiday season. A true treat for Christmas cookie exchanges, these delicious classic fruity Linzer cookies are easy to make!


– All-purpose flour – Almond flour (or other nut flour) – Cinnamon (ground) – Unsalted butter – Granulated sugar – Egg (large) – Almond extract – Lemon zest (fine) – Strawberry or apricot jam (or your favorite) – Confectioner’s sugar

For a beautiful cookie that's sure to be eye-catching on your holiday dessert table, try these delicious Linzer cookies.


Cream together butter mixture and put together flour mixture. Slowly combine and then chill for at least 1 hour (or overnight).


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line your cookie sheets. Lightly flour surface.


Roll out the dough to be 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter and place dough on prepared baking sheet. Cut the center out of half of the cookies.


Bake for 9-11 minutes. Let them cool for 5 minutes before allowing to cool completely on a wire rack.


Dust the top of the cookies with cut outs and place jam on ones without cut out. Place cut out cookies on top of the whole cookies.
