So - when making just the pudding, each box calls for 2 cups of milk. So since we are making 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) you need 4 cups total liquid. So I would do half of that milk and the remaining using half and half. You can also just prepare each box as directed, but replace the all the milk with half and half. It will make it a bit thicker. But really, the kid version is just a tinted version of the package directions since we are omitting the alcohol.

I'm sorry I actually stated that wrong rather than 4 cups of liquid total it would be be 6 cups for the kid friendly version if you use 2 cups of milk per the 2 boxes of pudding mix and also the 2 cups of the half and half.
So I understand leaving out the vodka but do I really do all the other steps as stated in the notes of the recipe for the kid friendly version meaning I do still also ADD THE HALF AND HALF+ all the milk required to make the pudding?

I don't have a rating for the recipe yet because I am in need of a little further instructions.
I need to make the kid friendly version and it states in the notes to follow all the steps except leave out the vodka.
My question is do you still use the 2 cups of the half and half as well as the 2 cups of milk needed to make the pudding for a total of 4 cups of liquid all together?
