Made these for the extended family on vacation and they were a great hit! And so easy with few ingredients which makes this a super good recipe for crowds and away-from-home cooking. Or for when you just want an easy meal! Great way to use up those bags of cocktail meatballs you bought for that event, That this recipe tastes great with frozen meatballs is all you need to know about how good it is. Thanks for sharing!

I made these meatball subs tonight and my husband devoured them within minutes. Such a delicious dinner with a fresh side salad. Will make these often!

Just make these, the family loves them! Super easy to make. I used the Italian pre-cooked frozen meatballs that our tiny grocery store carries, provolone on the bottom of hoagie rolls, 4 meatballs per and a shredded cheese mix on top.
I would strongly recommend that if you choose to use the broiler, to check every 30 seconds or so to ensure the bread doesn’t burn. 2-5 minutes is way to long for broilers on older ovens.

I’m sure that would work fine. Just make sure to prepare them to the package directions (heating them in some way – assuming they are pre-cooked before using)

Is it okay to use frozen pre made meatballs? My store was out of the fresh ones and I was just curious if it would turn out the same with frozen ones or not. Thanks!
