I’ve made these cookies twice during the holidays and they came out great both times! The cookies are soft and buttery and my family loves them! Best M&M cookie recipe I’ve ever used!

Yes – please see “Can I make the dough ahead of time?” * ” Can I freeze the dough or baked cookies?” in the FAQ section. I have not had issued with the colors bleeding when refrigerating the dough. Although that does seem to be an issue when thawing baked cookies that have been frozen if done too rapidly or in a very humid environment.

Can you make the dough ahead of time and freeze/refrigerate it? If so which one and how long will the dough last? Should you wait to mix the m&m’s so the color doesn’t bleed into the dough?

Love these cookies so much! They are a hit with my 6 year old. Do you think I could just make these as regular chocolate chip cookies by not adding in the M&ms?

These cookies are requested for every family get together. And all you have to do is change the m&m color to fit the holiday. I’ll be making these for Christmas with red & green. Thank you for this great recipe!

Quick question, would you use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar. I’ve made the cookies and they are delicious I just can’t remember which to use.

Ohh these were fantastic! I made them in a cooking class I hosted, and they were delicious. The M&M’s have a wonderful candy crunch. I would say that we did not get 48 cookies, but ours were about 3 inches. Everyone wanted a copy of the recipe. This one is a keeper! Add in some pecans for another level of goodness.
