Well- if you want to remove the cream cheese – this becomes an entirely different recipe with a different set of steps. Normally I would recommend one of my Oreo cookie-based truffle recipes, but those also call for cream cheese – except this one here https://www.kleinworthco.com/holiday-nutella-bites/. That one uses Oreo Cookies but also calls for Nutella instead of cream cheese. There are many other recipes for truffles without cream cheese created by my colleagues that can be found using a quick Google search if this other one doesn’t work for you.

That’s really a personal preference. If you like a little salt paired with the sweet- then slated works great. Otherwise, you can use unsalted.
