So thoughtful! My husband had surgery 5 days ago for squamous cell cancer — lymph nodes removed from his stomach. The tumor is out but we’re waiting on the lab tests to learn if it’s in the lymph nodes. Like you, I thought this was a non-invasive skin cancer. But no. It’s life-threatening. We’re hanging in there, so thankful for friends and family and leaning hard into our faith in God. Praying for you mom — I bet she’s sweet like you 🙂

My heart goes out to your family. As moms ourselves, we have such fierce love for our kids and worry about their health and safety. Somehow the world seems upside down when it is our own parents that need caring for. It puts life in a whole new perspective.

These are so thoughtful. I love this idea! I don’t own a sewing machine, but my mom does. I’m going to share this with her. It sounds like a great project to start through a church group and you know, our girl scout troop is looking for ways to help with children’s charities. I bet these could easily be adapted for kids as well. I’ll definitely pass this on.
